Air traffic advisories in plain English
Active air traffic advisories, explained for travelers. Times are local to each airport (Eastern for nationwide reroutes). For a single airport, see its airport page.
About air traffic advisories
- What are these advisories?
- The FAA's Air Traffic Control System Command Center publishes an advisory every time it starts, changes or ends a traffic management initiative: ground stops, ground delay programs, airspace flow programs and reroutes. They are written in controller shorthand; GroundStop.app shows the key facts and a plain-English explanation.
- Are the explanations official?
- No. Times, delays and the chance of extension come straight from each advisory, but the explanation is written by GroundStop.app and may be imperfect. Follow the link to read the original, and check with your airline.
